I have been teaching in Japan since 1987. It has been a long and winding road to the place I am today. I would not say it has been especially difficult, though it has been challenging enough at times. I had no aspirations of greatness, and as you know--I'm not great. But I have felt led to teach--or I might say, to "motivate to learn." My greatest joy has come to me through my children and my students (all of whom I consider more of "my" children). Of course my wonderful husband is a joy too-I love you, honey!
Today I'm feeling especially blessed. Another friend also came by to give me a treat as a souvenir from Korea. They are caramels, but I can't quite place the flavor. The name is written in Korean, so . . . I'm guessing, though, that it might be ginseng. Yum!
